Moore wins in Alabama, creating Senate Ag vacancy

The man who may soon be the newest member of the U.S. Senate has suggested that some communities in IL and in are under Sharia law.

Republican firebrand Roy Moore's easy victory in this week's Alabama Senate primary runoff against appointed Sen.

While Moore's win isn't surprising - he led in the polls leading up to the vote - it is concerning for several groups.

After Tuesday's primary election, Alabama Republicans have spoken and their senate candidate is cowboy hat-wearing, horse-riding, conservative Christian Roy Moore.

The main issues: guaranteeing the payment of a key set of Obamacare subsidies at least through next year, which Democrats want, and providing more flexibility for states to amend Obamacare's regulations, which is critical for Republicans.

At a victory party in Montgomery that included hymns and a lengthy prayer, Moore showed he doesn't plan to veer from the formula that brought him this far.
