Aaron Rodgers: Davante Adams wanted ball on game-winning TD

The Pro Bowler completed three passes and scrambled for 12 yards during the nine-play, 75-yard drive that came after the Cowboys thought they had the game won. Whereas he averaged 5.1 yards per carry last season, he entered today's game against the Packers averaging 3.6. A catch by Beasley was ruled a first down and reversed, as was Elliott's fourth-down plunge when he was ruled short but replay showed the ball reaching Green Bay's 19-yard line. That includes a 12-yard score with 11 seconds to play to give Green Bay the lead on the way to a four-point win. On Sunday it wouldn't be a field goal this time though.

Green Bay, now 4-1, heads to Minnesota next week. Both were terrific, with Jones amassing 134 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in his first-ever National Football League start, including 19-125-1 on the ground to help Green Bay's play-action attack hum.

Elsewhere, Ben Roethlisberger turned in his worst home performance in more than 11 years as the Jacksonville Jaguars intercepted five passes in a 30-9 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rookie cornerback Jourdan Lewis co-led the Cowboys with seven total tackles. He earned 91 yards and a touchdown after weeks of being questionable with a bad shoulder.

"He's just the ultimate leader, he's everything you'd want in a leader", said Adams of his quarterback following the win.

Also, Carson Wentz threw a career-high four touchdown passes as the Philadelphia Eagles rolled to a third straight win, 34-7 over the Arizona Cardinals. It was the first of five laterals, the last an errant toss that became the first of three fumbles. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for three scores and running back Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 116 on 29 touches, running up their lead to 21-6 at one point. Carson Palmer and Arizona's one-dimensional offense were held to 279 yards. He found Martellus Bennett for a big gainer earlier on the drive. That began a 79-yard march that included a two third-down conversions and one fourth-down conversion, capped off by Prescott's 11-yard touchdown run.

So now the Boys are 2-3, two games out of first place in the division, and a bye week coming up to lick their wounds. He had 19 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown.

Tyrod Taylor finished 20 of 37 for 166 yards and was sacked six times for the Bills (3-2).
