Players can also invite friends to visit their campsite, by exchanging their in-game IDs. Leaf Tickets are the premium currency, and allow you to skip basically anything in game (like any free to play game).

In a first for the series, you can also build relationships with your fellow campers by chatting with them and fulfilling specific requests. Since then, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer arrived on Wii U and 3DS, respectively. Preregistration is now open on Google Play or on the game's website using a Nintendo account. The release of Super Mario Run that fall, however, caused the company to move the rest of its schedule around.
