The smartphone features a 5-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera.

TCL Communication has launched its first Alcatel smartphone powered by Android Oreo Go edition, targeting the value segment of the market.

HMD is planning a busy 2018 with a flurry of smartphones being lined up for launch, starting with the upcoming MWC 2018 event. The 4.5-inch display is big enough for casual users, but has resolution of just 854x480p.

The phone has 5 megapixels rear camera with LED flash.

With Android Oreo (Go edition), these applications and features have been optimized to be smaller in size meaning less storage requirements and offering Alcatel 1X customers more storage space out of the box. The smartphone would run on the operating system's latest version Android Oreo, the company said on Tuesday. Android One is different program from Google and comes with the promise of regular software and security updates.

In a bid to get more Indians online, Google and telecom services provider Bharti Airtel on Tuesday announced they were collaborating to introduce low-priced smartphones powered by Android Oreo (Go Edition) in the domestic market. The new phone Nokia 1 is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor.

It ships with 8GB of internal storage, a 5Mp rear camera and a 2Mp front camera, so don't expect crystal-clear shots from the Nokia 1.

'Mera Pehla Smartphone' programme was launched by Airtel in October 2017 with the objective of bringing a 4G smartphone within the reach of every Indian.

The Nuu G3 has a 5.7-inch 18:9 display. The original Nokia 8 has dual 13-megapixel lens combo. The bezels are also further reduced so that the screen is wrapped from edge to edge, giving an all-screen design at the front.

The GM8 Go edition features some familiar specs: it's nearly the size of its big brother at a 5.5-inch screen, similarly specced as IPS LCD HD+.

The Nokia 1 is simple, cheap and fun; a phone aimed at those looking for the functionality and features of a smartphone but at a price normally associated with a feature phone.

The fact the software also consumes less data than we are accustomed to makes these devices a flawless fit for those who don't want to go through the trouble of managing their data usage and tracking which apps are burning a hole in their pockets.

Google is also likely to ditch the bezels on the Google Pixel 3, whatever other improvements it brings with it.

Nevertheless, the Nokia 8 Sirocco, as HMD Global presented it, still has its roots from the original Nokia 8 smartphone. It packs a 2,150 mAh battery. The company has showcased the phone t MWC 2018.

Nokia has now started to update Nokia 3 with Android 8.0 Oreo beta upgrade.
