Nunberg: Trump 'never did anything illegal or wrong around me'

Mueller Investigation Reveals the Alarming Power of Middlemen

He did so by appearing on basically every news network possible while talking about how he was going to defy Robert Mueller's subpoena.

"Corey wanted to push us out". "I certainly can't speak to him or the lack of knowledge that he clearly has", Sanders said.

Speculation swirled that Nunberg had been hitting the bottle before giving several weird interviews Monday evening, during which he repeatedly vowed to not comply with a subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller.

Still, he told MSNBC that he thought Trump "may have done something during the election". Refusing to assist Mueller would seem to be help enough; why go on a media blitz saying all kinds of weird things? What's he going to do?

This is the same interview from which he claimed he learned that Mueller & Co. have "something bad" on Mr. Trump. "I have a life".

Nader began cooperating with Mueller after he arrived at Dulles Airport in mid-January and was stopped, served with a subpoena and questioned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, these people said.

Nunberg scurried off to phone MSNBC in the afternoon, where he started squawking to host Katy Tur in a completely addled manner. They can also seek to quash it.

If you had not heard of Sam Nunberg before Monday, you are not alone.

But by the time Tuesday morning rolled around, Nunberg was nowhere to be seen on the news shows.

Indeed, Nunberg did little to suggest Monday that this wasn't some Stone-orchestrated scene.

"Should I spend 50 hours going over all my emails with Roger Stone and with Steve Bannon?".

Five people have pleaded guilty to charges levied against them in Mueller's investigation into Russian election meddling.

The revelation contradicted Stone's testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, during which he told the panel that he had never "said or written that I had any direct communication with Julian Assange and have always clarified in numerous interviews and speeches that my communication with WikiLeaks was through the aforementioned journalist".

"I think they may".

So Nunberg, like many others in Trump's orbit, is loopy. And by Monday night, he told the Associated Press he'll likely end up cooperating with the probe after all. So far, Mueller's investigation has led to the indictment of 13 Russians and multiple former campaign officials, including Michael Flynn, George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Richard Pinedo and Alex van der Zwaan. But he has declined to answer questions, the Journal reported, "about whether he was reimbursed by Mr. Trump or anyone else". Reach Trump to talk about what?

Additionally, CNN reported last month that Mueller's team has been asking witnesses about Trump's business activities in Russian Federation prior to the 2016 presidential campaign as he considered a run for president. Did Nunberg lie to Special Counsel, and then realized there was no way Mueller didn't know?

It's illegal for Americans to knowingly accept foreign money to fund political campaigns.

More than half of the women running for Congress in Texas won in Tuesday's primary elections, outperforming expectations and setting a new record.

If so, Trump defines "ability, effort and excellence" differently than the rest of us.
