Top 10 NFL Free Agents On The Market

Cousins is sacked by Von Miller

The two other quarterbacks Arizona had last season, Drew Stanton and Blaine Gabbert, are free agents as well. Adam Caplan said as much over the weekend on Sirius Radio, while NFL Network's Ian Rapoport described the Vikings as still being in the drivers' seat for Cousins.

That would be of enormous significance to the future of free agency, and at least two teams are reportedly willing to take the plunge. The Broncos had four quarterbacks with the team this past season, including Chad Kelly on injured reserve, who were former draft picks, and Denver will have simply bypassed them all to sign Keenum. His signing can not be made official until the new league year opens at 9pm GMT on Wednesday. We saw how far Keenum was capable of going in the playoffs this past year, and while the Vikings have a younger roster than the Broncos, I think Denver has a couple of years with their current core of players to compete for a title yet. He guided Minnesota to the NFC championship game after replacing an injured Sam Bradford last season.

The Broncos, who own the fifth pick in next month's National Football League draft, also considered Cousins following a 5-11 season in which Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler and Paxton Lynch all struggled behind a porous offensive line and questionable play-calling before Mike McCoy was replaced by Bill Musgrave as offensive coordinator. Once again it was Schefter as he revealed the terms negotiated as a three-year, fully guaranteed pact between Cousins and the Vikings. And, maybe most importantly, there's a different mindset of how the team wants to win. That leaves Teddy Bridgewater as the other quarterback the Vikings could end up within 2018 and beyond and it appears that the Vikings are using Bridgewater as a backup plan should Cousins have a change of heart once he arrives in Minnesota and sees all the snow/ice/Swedes.

After not wanting to commit to a long-term deal with Washington, Cousins wanted to get a feel of the free agency market.

Cousins is in line to make history. Could he have possibly been more productive in Minnesota than he was in Washington?

In three years as the starter in Washington, Cousins threw for 13,176 yards, 81 touchdowns and 36 interceptions while completing 67 percent of his passes. Having a quarterback that can help us become a more efficient offense and help us score more points and not turn the ball over, that can only help us get better.
