¯ The Newport United Church along with the youth of the church is sponsoring an Easter event and egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Newport United Methodist Church on Greene Street.

¯ In Williamstown, a community Easter egg hunt will be held from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m. Saturday in Tomlinson Park. The second will drop eggs for kids ages 8 to 11.

This weekend, masses of children will scour lawns, parks and church gardens for colorful, goodie-filled eggs, courtesy of the Easter Bunny.

Crosby said the Egg-ceptional Egg Hunt won the Innovative Program award for the State of Georgia at the Georgia Recreation and Park Association State Conference in 2014.
