Klopp warned that, with qualification for next season's Champions League not yet secure, Liverpool had to maintain focus in the Premier League.

Speaking to ITV Sport on Wednesday night, Dixon said: "Liverpool have got a great chance with those three up front".

Liverpool's last of five meetings with Roma came in 2002, with a 2-0 win putting them into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

"I know that Mo (Salah) feels at home with us".

Further, the 26-year old has an agreement with the French club which allows him to leave if a bid of £35 million arrives.

"Klopp doesn't want a huge squad, he doesn't want 10, 12, 15 players strolling around the place if they're not really challenging for a first team place". There were plenty of things that we could have done better.

"Of course, I have happy memories".

Closing weekend it acquired worse for Metropolis, a two-goal lead evaporating against rivals Manchester United on the Etihad.

He added: said: "The Champions League is not about perfection - it's about the result, character, mentality and attitude".

Salah joined the Reds from AS Roma in the summer, it was his second foray into English football having failed to live up to expectations at Chelsea in his first spell during the latter half of the 2013-14 season and the first six months of the 2014-15 campaign.

"He is incredible, unbelievable", says Salah. I don't know him as a person, but he looks like a good guy as well.

That form has attracted the attention of Europe's biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, but Reds boss Klopp insists Salah is going nowhere this summer.

However, two second half goals from the Egyptian forward, and Roberto Firmino ensured the Premier League leaders lost their third straight games in barely seven days in all competitions.

Real Madrid, the 12-times victor, remains favorite for the competition, though its opponent, Bayern Munich, will be confident of springing a surprise after the Spanish giant only just scraped through to the last four.

The Egypt worldwide joined Liverpool from Roma last summer and has since established himself as one of the world's most risky attackers.

"We can, we are in the semifinal", Salah said. "In the moment we have to deliver performances, collecting points, winning".

With no midweek game next week, the need to rotate is not as pressing as it was last weekend, when Liverpool played a Merseyside derby that was sandwiched in between the two-legged tie with City.
